Brief & Concepts
Keele University reached out to me as they were creating a new research group and were looking for a logo. I wasn’t given much of a brief but as I’d worked with them before I had a general idea of what they like and what the name of the group was going to be.
Here are my inital sketches
The feedback from my initial ideas was good with 12, 3, 6 and 8 being selected to be digitised. I was also given a sketch by one of the team of what they were thinking for a design and asked if i could clean it up and digitise it as well.
Digitising and adding colours
The team were very happy with the designs and agreed with the style and colour schemes I had selected as they felt it matched the theme well and that simplicity is best. They did ask if I could change the heart in the first digitised concept as they were worried it could look like they were focused on cardiovascular research and whether I could change it to a first-aid cross. They also informed me that the name would be changing too.
Below is the final design after making the alterations required and adding the new team name
